The goal of the Committee is to provide recommendations to the police and policymakers to improve policing in the State of Delaware and strengthen police/community relations. The Joint Police Accountability Committee (PAC) serves the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement, Delaware Capitol Police, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Responsibilities

To accomplish its purpose, the Committee shall meet quarterly, consider, and advise on the following related topics:

  1. Any duty or responsibility assigned to the Committee by statute or public law.
  2. Police matters related to our collective areas of responsibility within the State of Delaware.
  3. Community perceptions of law enforcement in the State of Delaware.
  4. Review and provide recommendations regarding the agencies policies and procedures.
  5. Ways of fostering better community relations with law enforcement.
